[00:04.500] [Dan Lopez] What happens is the top layer actually
[00:06.880] usually damages with a lot of marble and
[00:09.120] limestone. It's called etching. It basically burns the top layer of the
[00:12.740] surface off. That can only be repaired by
[00:15.260] re-sanding, re-buffing, or re-polishing.
[00:17.940] They came out with a coating called MORE
[00:19.620] AntiEtch, which we evaluated here at Fox
[00:21.900] Marble. We've done some studies on it and
[00:24.320] seen it actually applied to the surface.
[00:26.460] That actually bonds with UV lighting. It becomes very durable, very tough.
[00:31.400] It has low VOCs. It's a quick product to
[00:35.000] be applied. The other thing is it has a
[00:37.800] huge longevity to it. Sometimes it's very
[00:40.160] difficult to notice it's even on the counter.
[00:42.520] There are times where I've applied it to
[00:44.780] certain customers, and friends come in and
[00:46.880] they're like, "There's no coating." They're
[00:49.180] like, "Fox Marble installed this coating
[00:51.420] on top of my kitchen surface. I can't see
[00:53.720] it." It's there. That's the benefit to it.
[00:56.820] With MORE AntiEtch coating, the etching,
[00:59.940] the staining, it really helps prevent it.

What is MORE® AntiEtch™?
MORE® AntiEtch™ is a professionally applied surface treatment intended for eligible acid-sensitive natural stone. We review the specific stone and its condition, along with how it is used, before recommending it.
How is MORE® AntiEtch™ different from a penetrating sealer?
Penetrating sealers are generally intended to help manage absorption. MORE® AntiEtch™ is a separate surface-protection system intended to address concerns ordinary penetrating sealers do not, including etching on eligible surfaces.
Which surfaces may be eligible?
Eligibility depends on the exact material, finish, condition, location, prior treatments, and current MORE product requirements. A list of possible materials is not a promise that a particular surface is suitable.
Will it change how the stone looks or feels?
Appearance and tactile expectations must be reviewed for the specific stone and finish. Samples, existing conditions, and current product guidance should make those expectations clear before application.
Does existing damage need to be restored first?
Often, existing etching, scratches, damage, or finish inconsistency must be addressed before a protection system is applied. Fox determines the preparation scope after reviewing the surface.
